Football Artificial Turf for Pitches and Sports Areas

Football artificial turf from CEYTO YAPI is a synthetic pitch surface for full-size fields, mini-football and five-a-side pitches, school yards and training areas. It is manufactured in Turkey and supplied in rolls to sports contractors, pitch builders, municipalities' suppliers and distributors. Sports turf is built for intensive play: longer, resilient fibres designed to work with sand and rubber infill, a stable backing and line-marking options. Exact technical values are confirmed per project.

What football artificial turf is

Football artificial turf is a synthetic grass system designed for ball sport rather than appearance alone. It typically combines long, resilient fibres tufted into a stable backing, a layer of sand that keeps the carpet in place, and a performance infill that provides cushioning and influences ball roll and bounce. Installed over a properly built and drained base, it allows many more hours of play per week than a natural grass pitch and needs no watering or mowing.

The carpet is one part of a pitch system. Base construction, shock pad (where used), infill and installation quality all affect playing performance, so buyers should specify the carpet together with the full pitch design. Browse our wider artificial grass carpet range for non-sports surfaces.

How to specify football artificial turf

These are the parameters to agree before ordering:

  • Pile height – longer piles are used where infill is added; shorter piles are found on some mini pitches and multi-sport courts. Our options: [TODO: pile heights]. Read the pile height guide for typical ranges.
  • Yarn and profile – sports turf commonly uses polyethylene monofilament yarn, sometimes fibrillated yarn; fibre shape affects resilience and abrasion. Ours: [TODO: yarn type].
  • Dtex, stitch rate and gauge – these define fibre weight and tuft density, which drive durability and how well infill is held. Our values: [TODO: Dtex, stitch rate, gauge].
  • Backing – must stay dimensionally stable under play and drain water. Ours: [TODO: backing].
  • Infill – sand plus rubber or alternative granules; quantities depend on pile height and system design.
  • Test reports – for club, school or public tenders, ask for laboratory test reports. Availability: [TODO: test report availability].

Typical applications

Full-size and mini-football pitches, five-a-side and seven-a-side commercial pitches, school and university sports areas, hotel and resort courts, and training grounds. Our sports field artificial grass page explains project considerations, and commercial projects covers contractor supply. Perimeter netting and grass fence panels such as our grass fence panel are often ordered alongside turf for spectator areas.

Made in Turkey for sports contractors abroad

CEYTO YAPI is an Istanbul-based Turkish company working in artificial grass since 2002. Sourcing from Türkiye gives contractors in Europe, the Middle East, the Caucasus and North Africa access to sea freight through Istanbul’s ports and road freight towards Europe, with the option to add grass fence or decorative grass to the same container.

Frequently asked questions

Is your football turf FIFA certified?

We do not claim FIFA certification. For tendered or club projects, ask for the laboratory test reports your project requires before ordering. Availability of test reports for our turf: [TODO: test report availability].

What pile height is used for football pitches?

Football turf generally uses longer piles than garden grass so that infill can support the fibres, while mini pitches and multi-use areas sometimes use shorter piles. Our options: [TODO: pile heights].

Do I need infill?

Most football artificial turf systems use sand for stability and rubber or alternative granules for shock absorption and ball behaviour. The infill type and quantity should be specified with the pitch design. Our infill supply: [TODO: infill options].

Can you supply white line markings?

Line markings are commonly supplied as separate turf strips in white or other colours and inlaid on site. Our line marking options: [TODO: line marking options].

Can you calculate roll lengths for my pitch?

Yes. Send the pitch dimensions and layout drawing and we will suggest roll lengths to reduce waste and seams.
