Choosing where to source grass fence affects price, delivery planning and how easily you can communicate with your supplier. Turkey has become a common sourcing country for artificial grass products, and as a manufacturer based in Istanbul we see the practical reasons every day. Below we set out what Türkiye offers as a sourcing base, how we work, and what to expect when shipping to your region.
Why source grass fence from Turkey (Türkiye)
Geography. Türkiye sits between Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, the Caucasus and Central Asia. Istanbul in particular has access to both the Black Sea and, through the Sea of Marmara, the Mediterranean. That gives buyers a choice between sea freight and road freight for many destinations, and makes it practical to combine shipments or adjust routes when needed.
Supporting industries. Grass fence is commonly made from UV-stabilised polyethylene or polypropylene yarn attached to galvanised or coated steel wire mesh. Turkey has long-established textile, yarn and synthetic fibre industries, as well as a substantial steel wire and wire mesh sector. For a grass fence manufacturer, having these supply industries in the same country generally helps with raw material availability and shortens the supply chain.
Trade framework. The customs union between the European Union and Turkey covers most industrial goods, which generally simplifies trade in manufactured products between Türkiye and EU member states. Turkey also has trade agreements with a number of other countries. Buyers should always confirm the duties, documents and certificates of origin required for their own country with a customs broker. [TODO: list origin documents CEYTO YAPI can provide]
Communication and travel. Istanbul is one of the busiest air hubs in the region, so buyers can visit suppliers, inspect goods or meet in person without complicated travel. Many Turkish exporters, including us, work with buyers in several languages; this website is available in English, Arabic, French and Persian.
Our factory and production process
We have manufactured in İSTOÇ, Bağcılar/İstanbul since 2002. While each product line has its own steps, grass fence production generally follows this sequence:
- Raw materials – synthetic yarn or film for the grass leaves and steel wire for the mesh are sourced and checked.
- Leaf preparation – yarn is cut or shaped into leaves of the required length and colour.
- Assembly – leaves are attached to the wire mesh, either by machine or with manual finishing, depending on the product and density.
- Forming and winding – the fence is cut to size as panels or wound into rolls, which keeps it compact for storage and transport.
- Packing – rolls and panels are wrapped and labelled for export.
Artificial grass carpet follows a different, tufting-based process, and grass fence wire machines are built and tested as equipment rather than produced in rolls. Because we make the machines that produce grass fence, we know the process from both sides. [TODO: describe CEYTO YAPI’s specific production equipment and in-house steps]
Quality control
For grass fence and artificial grass, buyers and manufacturers generally check:
- Yarn quality – colour consistency, UV stabilisation and leaf thickness.
- Density – the number of leaves per metre or square metre, which affects privacy and appearance.
- Wire mesh – wire diameter, galvanising or coating, and weld or joint strength.
- Dimensions – height, length and roll or panel size against the order.
- Packing – secure wrapping, labelling and correct quantities per package.
For machines, checks usually include a test run, safety features and documentation. [TODO: CEYTO YAPI’s quality control procedures and inspection points] If you plan to use third-party pre-shipment inspection, tell us when you request a quotation so it can be scheduled.
