Planning the logistics early saves money and avoids surprises at the destination port. Below is an overview of the main points to agree before an order is produced in Turkey.
Packaging for artificial grass export and shipping
Grass fence is usually supplied in rolls, which are compact and easy to stack; panels are typically bundled flat. Artificial grass carpet is wound onto a core and wrapped, and machines are packed for protection during sea or road transport. Each package is normally labelled so that products and quantities can be identified at unloading.

Container loading
Most export orders travel in standard shipping containers:
| Container | General description | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| 20ft standard | About 6 m long internally; suits smaller or heavier loads | Trial orders, machines, mixed loads |
| 40ft standard | About 12 m long internally; double the floor length of a 20ft | Larger orders of rolls and turf |
| 40ft High Cube (40HC) | Same length as a 40ft, about 30 cm taller | Bulky, light goods such as grass fence and turf rolls, where extra height adds volume |
Because grass fence and artificial grass are relatively light for their volume, the container usually fills by space before weight. How many rolls fit depends on roll size, height and density. [TODO: typical quantities per 20ft, 40ft and 40HC container for each product] For smaller orders, ask us about shared (LCL) or road freight options. [TODO: confirm LCL availability]
Delivery terms (Incoterms)
Incoterms define where our responsibility ends and yours begins. The terms we offer are [TODO: Incoterms offered]. In general:
- EXW (Ex Works) – you collect the goods from our premises in Istanbul and arrange all transport and export clearance.
- FOB (Free On Board) – we deliver the goods loaded on the vessel at the Turkish port of shipment and handle export clearance; you pay sea freight and insurance.
- CFR (Cost and Freight) – we also pay sea freight to your destination port; risk passes to you once the goods are on board.
- CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight) – as CFR, plus we arrange minimum cargo insurance to the destination port.
Import duties and clearance at destination are normally the buyer’s responsibility under all of these terms.
Payment terms
Our payment terms are confirmed in each quotation. [TODO: payment terms] Common options in international trade include a deposit with the balance before loading or against copies of shipping documents, and a letter of credit (L/C) issued by the buyer’s bank.
Shipping documents
Export shipments are generally accompanied by a commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading (or CMR for road freight). A certificate of origin and other documents may be needed depending on your country’s import rules. [TODO: documents CEYTO YAPI provides as standard] Please tell us your document requirements when you request a quotation.
Lead time
Lead time depends on product, quantity and the current production schedule. [TODO: typical lead time] We confirm the expected loading date in the quotation.
